So happy that they open again! Always come with my friend before they close, we all say it’s like our University cafeteria. Everything is so good! Little sad that they don’t have broccoli and Takoyaki so far, however their new item: prawn Tempuras are soooooo delicious!!! I kind of created my own bowl this time, looks amazing and tastes great!

We tried the new cold/chilled ramen at this place. It was perfect for the hot weather in Kamloops! Refreshing and flavourful springy noodle. We also had chicken ramen noodle and chasu rice bowl. Both came with perfectly done seasoned soft-boiled eggs. Hearty and umami-packed. Good portions and very filling. We definitely recommend this place!

Had an early dinner today. My 3rd visit here and it’s my friend’s first visit. Classic Ramen is still the best. 1st time trying oyster bomber, and it was a BOMB! It was sooo good. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Emily’s service is top notch. Overall a great dining experience. We’ll be back again

If you're looking for a truly warming and satisfying bowl of ramen in Kamloops, then Wakayama Ramen Bar is definitely worth checking out. The store is small but the atmosphere is cozy and warm, with a minimalist, Japanese-inspired décor that makes you feel comfortable and cozy as soon as you walk in. The menu is varied and ramen is the mainstay, with classic flavors such as soy sauce, miso, and curry, with all kinds of toppings to perfectly satisfy guests with different tastes. I ordered their Spicy Rad ramen, the broth was rich but not greasy, the flavor of the pork bone was very pure, the details were well handled, and once you drink it, you know it was boiled with care. The noodles were soft and slightly chewy, fully absorbing the essence of the soup. The Chashu was also one of the highlights, fat and lean, stewed to perfection and melted in your mouth. I also tried their deep-fried dumplings and chicken karaage , which were crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside, making them a great side dish to go with. Service-wise, the staff was very friendly and quick to order and serve. We were there during meal time and there were a lot of customers, but the whole dining experience was still smooth, we didn't have to wait too long, and the staff would come over from time to time to refill water or care about whether the flavors were right, so the service was satisfactory. The price is medium to high, but considering the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience, it is good value for money. Especially in a mid-sized city like Kamloops, it's really rare to find such an authentic, consistent, and high-caliber Japanese ramen store. Overall, whether you're looking for a hot bowl of ramen on a cold winter day or a refreshing bowl of cold noodles in the summer Wakayama Ramen Bar is an option that won't disappoint. Highly recommended!

This ramen shop lives up to its name. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the simple decor allows the food to be the focus. I ordered the spicy red ramen, which was rich, flavorful, and well-balanced - just the right amount of spiciness without overpowering the richness of the broth. Reasonably priced, the quality is excellent, and the customer service is even better. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful - her recommendations were spot-on. You can tell that the staff truly wants you to have a great dining experience.
